Walking with Daniel
Text & Music: Sibylle Machat, 2002/2003
Notes: Based on the TV series "Star Gate - SG1"Capo 3
Sibylle says: I know Daniel came back from being "dead/ascended", and althought this was finished after his return became certain, I wrote most of it when he was still, quite officially, ascended. So, yep, this is a sad one.

What Daniel, what, could possibly make you whole?
Your wife is dead and your child not meant for you
What, Daniel, what, is left to see you through? The lives of all Kelownan's exchanged for merely you
I am sure you thought it a trade both fair and true
And when Oma Desalla gave you that path to take
Who can fault you for the choice that you made?Oh I can't fault Daniel for the choice that he made.
Through all the fire and the pain
I would have walked with Daniel
To the farthest gate and home again
I would have walked with Daniel.
